Ralph E. Wilson is an experienced attorney and Of Counsel to Butler, Norris & Gold, where he assists clients in personal injury, workers’ compensation, disability, probate, and estate planning matters. With nearly five decades of legal experience, Ralph brings practical judgment, careful preparation, and a client-focused approach to every matter he handles.
Ralph brings clients nearly five decades of experience across multiple areas of law. His practice includes representation in personal injury matters, motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall claims, workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability, state disability matters, probate, and estate planning.
Ralph earned his Bachelor of Science degree cum laude from Central Connecticut State College in 1974, completing his undergraduate studies in less than four years. He received his Juris Doctor from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America in 1978, graduating in the top four percent of his class. He later earned a Master of Science degree in American History from Central Connecticut State College in 1980 and a Master of Science degree in Insurance from the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business and Public Administration in 1984, where he received an Award for Excellence in Academic Studies.
In addition to private practice, Ralph has served in significant public-sector legal roles, including as City Attorney for the City of Middletown, Connecticut, and as a Supervisory Attorney Advisor for the Social Security Administration’s Office of Hearings and Appeals. He is also a past recipient of the Middlesex County Branch NAACP President’s Award for Outstanding Service.
